By the Hexagon Cup team
12.9.2024

Hexagon Cup and Babolat have partnered for the second edition of this revolutionary padel tournament, which will take place at Madrid Arena from January 29 to February 2, 2025. Babolat has become the Official Technical Sponsor for footwear and clothing, providing all the sportswear items: shoes, clothing, and sport accessories.

Babolat will have a strong presence during the tournament and in all the promotional activities that will take place in the weeks leading up to the event, including the padel court that the Hexagon Cup organizers will set up in the Plaza Felipe II (Madrid) from September 15 to 22.

With this agreement, Babolat decided to go further, joining forces with Hexagon Cup to ensure the event continues to grow and offer the best team-based padel spectacle in the world.

BABOLAT, A PIONEER IN PADEL AT ALL LEVELS

This partnership is yet another proof of Babolat's commitment to padel and the brand's significance in the exponential growth of the sport worldwide, which is now played in over 100 countries by more than 20 million players. A leader in tennis, having invented the first racket strings in 1875, and in badminton, Babolat has been a key player in the development of the padel industry for more than 20 years. The brand created its first padel racket in 2001 and launched the first 100% padel shoe in 2019, an innovation in collaboration with Michelin that has won multiple awards, including the "Shoe of the Year." In 2023, Babolat also designed the first padel racket specifically for women (50% of padel players in Spain are women), further enriching its extensive range of women’s footwear.

With the most extensive and accessible offering on the market, catering to the needs of both amateur and professional players, Babolat provides a fully optimized padel experience, always aiming to offer comfort and enjoyment.

“Babolat is a global benchmark, and together, we aim to elevate padel and this event to a new level. We are honoured to have sealed this partnership and are confident that together we will achieve our goal of continuing to revolutionise the world of padel,” said Astrid Thams, Commercial Managing Director of the competition.

“At Babolat, we back Hexagon because it perfectly represents the comprehensive approach of our vision of padel, turning it into an experience that goes beyond the courts, connecting people in an environment where sport and community come together. Hexagon is fully aligned with our concept of padel as a lifestyle that combines socialising, fun, inclusion, and competition,” said Jose Luis Sanz, Business Leader Padel at Babolat.

“We want this tournament to continue revolutionising the world of padel, and to do so, it is essential to keep partnering with the best. We are thrilled to have Babolat involved, as it brings the strength of a great brand in our sport,” reflected Sergio Lewin, Operations and Sporting Managing Director of Hexagon Cup.
