10Padel has been confirmed as the eighth team to join our tournament as the innovative competition gets set to take which will take place from 29 January to 2 February 2025.

French Formula 1 BWT Alpine team driver, Pierre Gasly, and the successful French entrepreneur Loïc Féry, founder of alternative fund Chenavari Investment Managers and president of FC Lorient, will spearhead the team’s ambition to secure the Hexagon Cup. The Hexagon Cup 2025, which will be the second time the tournament has taken place at the Madrid Arena, continues to break barriers in the padel world. Following the recent addition of the Krü Padel by the Taktika team, led by Sergio Agüero and Leo Messi, the introduction of 10Padel marks a historic milestone for the world’s leading professional team competition. The tournament continues to grow, and this second edition will feature eight teams compared to the six that competed in January 2024.

Gasly, 28 years old and a great lover of padel, already has seven seasons at the wheel of a Formula 1 car, a championship in which he has competed in over 150 Grand Prix and achieved his first victory at the Monza race (Italian Grand Prix 2020). His business commitment to the world of padel marks an unprecedented milestone.

On the other hand, Loïc Féry, world renowned alternative fund manager, is also closely linked to the professional sports industry. Since 2009, he has been the owner and President of the French professional football team FC Lorient and is also an avid tennis and padel player. Together, Gasly and Féry are two prominent names from the world of sport who are excited to join this revolutionary competition.

Following the announcement of 10Padel team joining the competition, the Hexagon Cup’s roster of teams for the 2025 edition is now complete, and promises to be an unparalleled spectacle. Gasly and Féry will be in good company, joining the select club of owners such as Robert Lewandowski, Andy Murray, Arran Yentob, Rafa Nadal, Eva Longoria, Diana Kyllmann,  María Esteve and Carlos López-Lay.

Pierre Gasly stated, “I’m thrilled and excited to take this first step into the padel world by creating our professional team, 10Padel. I love this sport, which shares the same competitive spirit and passion that drives me on the Formula 1 circuits. Together with Loïc, we see a unique opportunity to build a team that stands out both on and off the court. I hope many of you will support us in the next 2025 edition!”

Loïc Féry added, “Pierre and I played padel together after the Miami Grand Prix with Dani Homedes who co-owns another Hexagon team and another friend of ours also involved in 10Padel. Since then, we have both nurtured the desire to partner with ambition in the padel world and we finally agreed to become the owners of the 8th franchise of Hexagon Cup. That is how 10Padel was born. I am very excited to join Pierre in such an inspiring and promising competition, where we will combines their experience and competitive spirit to ensure 10Padel success and bring padel fans together.”

Enrique Buenaventura, our Founder, expresses his excitement and pride in announcing this new team: "Incorporating Pierre and Loïc into the project opens up a vast array of opportunities. Our primary objectives have always been to promote the sport of padel and bring it closer to new audiences and territories, such as France, where padel is establishing itself as one of the most widely played sports. It was essential for us to have a team owned by two French personalities in the championship."

“Furthermore, having someone from the automotive world, with whom I have practically developed my entire career and with whom I feel very connected, gives me particular excitement. I am delighted,” adds Buenaventura.

For Sergio Lewin, Operations and Sporting Managing Director of the tournament, this milestone marks the starting gun for the competition: "With the inclusion of the team's name, everything is ready for the preparations to begin for this second edition of the Hexagon Cup. The entry of an eighth team allows us to bring in four additional names of the best players from around the world to the championship, and it also provides the opportunity for two young future stars to make their mark. It is a pride to have Gasly and Féry on board; I cannot wait for 29th January when what promises to be a historic competition kicks off."
