TEAM BELLA IS AT THE TOP AND THE RAFA NADAL ACADEMY IS STILL ON A ROLL

Noa Cánovas and Noemí Aguilar have given the first point of the day to the Mallorcan team, after a comfortable 6-3 / 6-1 victory over Jimena Velasco and Marta Arellano.

After this, the Next Gen duos of AD/vantage Padel Team and 10 Padel Alpine made their debut. After a very tight first set, in which Marta Borrero and Martina Calvo took it in the tie break, Carmen Goenaga, of 10 Padel Alpine, had to retire due to injury.

Castelló and Ustero continue to do their thing: +2 points for Team Bella

At 13:00 the match between Krü Padel by Taktika and Team Bella Puerto Rico started. Vero Virseda and Claudia Jensen were making their debut in the competition, while Jessica Castelló and Andrea Ustero had the chance to score again for their team. An even match, which was decided by 7-6 / 6-2 in favour of the Puerto Rican team. For the moment, the women's duo are still ahead of Team Bella Puerto Rico in the overall ranking: ‘We're very happy, we're very well matched, we're having fun. Hopefully we can continue in this line’.

Jon Sanz and Edu Alonso turn the score around against Bela and Libaak

After this match, Fernando Belasteguin and Tino Libaak, from ElevenEleven, made their debut in the tournament. In front of them, Jon Sanz and Edu Alonso, who replaces Agustín Tapia, in RL9 Padel Team by Cupra. A match in which the score was evenly matched and ended with the victory of the duo from the Polish team in the super tie break, by 6-7 / 6-3 / 10-5. At the end of the match, Sanz and Alonso valued the two points: ‘We were very solid in the last points of the match, we took them to our ground and we are very happy’.

Afterwards, Aranza Osoro and Ale Salazar made their debut, representing the fans. In front of them, Claudia Fernandez and Tamara Icardo, from 10Padel Alpine. The next match was between the reigning champions, Martin Di Nenno and Juan Tello, under the banner of AD/vantage, and the duo of Team Bella, Arturo Coello and Coki Nieto. A match of height, in which the Puerto Rican team took the lead based on the consistency of Coki and the punch of the ‘King’ and ended with a double 6-4 in favour of the South American team.

Delfi and Araujo add +2 valuable points for AD/vantage Padel Team

The matches in the women's category ended with Delfi Brea and Sofi Araújo, from the British team, facing Ari Sánchez and Lucía Saiz, from RL9 Padel Team by Cupra. Despite the defeat of Andy Murray's boys, Anthony Joshua and Arran Yentob, the women's pairing are fighting to retain the title. Today, against the team of the blue and white striker, they won 6-2 / 6-4.

In the last match of the day Alex Ruiz and Franco Stupazuck, from the Rafa Nadal Academy Powered by Richard Mille, beat Alex Chozas and Paquito Navarro, from Hexagon Team. Team Bella Puerto Rico finished top of the rankings on the second day, but the Academy team is close behind with three wins in three games and just one point behind the Puerto Rican team.
